Winter Retreat 2017

Winter Retreat this year was something really special. All of your camps and retreats are fun, and exciting, and we experience God–but this one was different. This was the first time our group has moved from “visitation” to “habitation”.

It used to be that we would go to the mountains to visit with God. But at this most recent retreat, we went to the mountains, but we didn’t just visit God, we began to live with Him. It felt like what Jesus talked about in John 15 when he said, “Remain in me and I will remain in you,”.  The message translation says it wonderfully:

Live in me. Make your home in me just as I do in you.

What happened at Winter Retreat was fantastic, but it shouldn’t stay there. We are moving past visitation. Our Heavenly Father doesn’t want partial custody, He doesn’t want weekend visiting rights, He wants all of us all of the time.

Let’s step into a new season where we make our home in Christ. Where we “live in” Him.  Where we never have to be separated or distant, but we can stay in constant connection with the Father who loves us so dearly.
